The SmartDrive MX2+ is a rear-mounted power assist device from Permobil.
Following the Acquisition of Max Wheelchairs, Permobil set about creating the most comprehensive rear-mounted power assist device on the market.
Featuring a powerful motor and omni-wheels, the SmartDrive has the ability to propel users up hills and inclines, as well as indoors and in tight spaces.
The SmartDrive MX2+ can be fitted to virtually all rigid frame and folding frame manual wheelchairs - with attachment and detachment completed in seconds.
The SmartDrive has various intuitive control options, and can be controlled by the occupant or the attendant - control options include;
